Clothes for Adventure
A lot of you wrote in saying how much you can relate to my lack of love for camping lol. I felt so less alone.
The clothes definetly did help me enjoy the whole weekend, not gonna lie. The formula was simple: pick a base that is functional yet beautiful and primed for adventure and then let the accessories do the heavy lifting.
For the base outfits, I'd determined over the years that I like cute but practical shorts. I did not include biker shorts, but has been my go-to in the past. I love this mousy color of the running shorts I got. It made it for such a great neutral and it was nice and lightweight.
SHORTS
I am really into the skort, tennis skirt vibes. My favorite tennis skirt and I've had my eyes on this skort, I love the pockets so much.

TEES
I like to go for easy lightweight cotton tees. They keep me cool and dry easily. I am not a big fan of dry fit material. Not for style reasons, I just don't like the feel of it. I actually tried one last week and immediately put it in the return pile. I have a visceral reaction with those. And style is very much that isn't it? Paying attention to how things make us feel and honoring that.
JACKETS AND HOODIES
A chore jacket or denim shirt is a great alternative if flannel isn't your speed ( it's certainly not mine). This chore jacket feels modern, chic and it's very practical. Alongside that, a hoodie or half zip hoodie is just the right ingredient.
What I love about all of these pieces is that none are “hiking specific", they can all be worn in different ways outside of the hiking trails. A very important pillar in my style philosophy that I go over inside the style membership.
SHOES
Finally, I realize the one thing lacking in my adventure closet was shoes. I love my teva sandals, but they lacked the treads needed for the type of hiking we did. So I'm adding this to my list. If we did more hiking in the Fall, I'd add Chelsea boots for all terrains for sure. I did just get THIS pair of hiking shoes/boots to try. Will report back.
HEAVY-LIFTING ACCESSORIES
Then for the cherry on top, the accessories that do the heavy lifting.I relied heavily on my shop's offerings. A trucker hat and the more modern flat bill cap are a MUST. I chose the tiny puff heart as an easy touch of gold to all of my outfits this weekend.
Can't forget to add a cool bandana. I've had this one for years and it just doesn't get old.
Hope you found this round-up helpful! I'll end with my favorite Norwegian saying: "There is no bad weather, only bad clothes!"
